'His closets were full of skeletons just waiting to burst out'
Bill Clinton's presidency has been romanticized, and many of us will never completely know what went on during his 8 years in office, whether publicly or privately. Many Democrats think he was a great president, marred by an silly infidelity. However, this new book by former FBI director Louis Freeh sheds further light on the midguidedness of our 42nd president. Consider some of the following:
"Whatever moral compass the president was consulting was leading him in the wrong direction," Freeh says. "His closets were full of skeletons just waiting to burst out."... In the book, Freeh claims the former president let down the American people and the families of victims of the Khobar Towers terror attack in Saudi Arabia, according to Drudge. Clinton promised to bring justice to the perpetrators of an attack that killed 19 and injured hundreds, but Freeh says the president prevented the FBI from interviewing the suspects in Saudi custody by refusing to personally ask permission of Crown Prince Abdullah. Freeh writes, "Bill Clinton raised the subject only to tell the crown prince that he understood the Saudis' reluctance to cooperate and then he hit Abdullah up for a contribution to the Clinton Presidential Library."This is just one of the incidents that Freeh speaks about with his interview with Mike Wallace (60 Minutes, this Sunday) as well as in his book. Hopefully, the truth that has been glossed over for so long will be revealed over time about Clinton's presidency and the many cover ups that if known would have made even the liberals angry.
