Merry um... Christmas. Yeah, baby!
She has such a great voice, she needn't pose like this to sell albums, but perhaps I am overly naive insofar as our sexed-up society's ability to discern good music. What's next... Stickster posing bare-chested with his Chapman Stick on the cover of the next Leah Morgan album? As Stickster would say, "*shudder*".
Well, if her album cover photos are okay with her husband, who am I to say?
Maybe when you finally see an album from me, my wife will be on the cover. That would certainly sell more albums than my music alone! :-)

As far as the bare chestedness goes, yeah, shudder is right. But let's not go overboard with the "look how they've ruined Christmas!" hand-wringing... ;-) A look at some of Diana's other album covers shows this fits right in with the rest of her "image" as marketed by the record company. Hey, with stems like that, I'd say it's a very merry Christmas for Mr. Costello-Krall.
Stems... yes indeedy. Not bad for a 40+ year old. But not that I'm looking, what with my wife's stems taking up most of my free thought-time.
I'd actually been updating the post when you posted a comment. :-)
Yeah, I ref'ed a couple of her other albums in the post. I wouldn't lop this in with the "look how they've ruined Christmas" sociodialogue. My point is more that Krall has an amazing voice that, in a perfect world, sells itself. In our world, however, her gams are in fact selling some of those albums. But I may be missing something - that is, she may enjoy herself this way - sexy. I'm married to a woman who enjoys her femininity and were she to record an album, I imagine its cover would be most enjoyable at which to look.
Me thinks I dost protest too much.
