The face of Iran

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad (left) and Anousheh Ansari, Iranian emigree to the U.S., engineer, successful entrepreneur, sponsor of the X PRIZE, now astronaut. Who would you rather see as a role model for Iranians today?

This is a great story. In the midst of the Iranian nuclear showdown, here's an Iranian emigree to the United States who shows the potential of an open mind in an open society. Does anyone believe she could have done what she's accomplished in her short life, were she still in Iran?

Interestingly, both Ansari and Ahmadinejad are engineers in their schooling (Ansari graduated from my alma mater, George Mason Univ.). Give the two 100 pounds of Uranium; one would design a more efficient reactor for delivering electricity to impoverished families, permitting them safe drinking water, heat during harsh winters, comfort and greater longevity, and the other, well... he would obliterate Tel Aviv.
