IntelligentVote.com: the RN site of the month

Want to know how your congressman's votes would square with yours, were you given the opportunity? Visit IntelligentVote.com - the Reasonable Nuts website of the month. I did as much, reading a description of each of the bills. Given that all 3 of my representatives are Republicans, I expected to at least partially square with their votes:
Senator: George Allen
Result: You voted in agreement with George Allen on the bills that you selected, 73% of the time out of 22 bills.

Senator: John Warner
Result: You voted in agreement with John Warner on the bills that you selected, 68% of the time out of 22 bills.

Congressman: Eric Cantor
Result: You voted in agreement with Eric Cantor on the bills that you selected, 78 % of the time out of 23 bills.
A further examination shows that where I differ with my representatives is in matters where I don't think the congress should have authority. For example, all 3 voted for the horrid Medicare "reform" bill. Also, 2 of the 3 voted to raise the U.S. debt ceiling. I think we should force real and immediate budget cuts instead. All 3 approved aid to foreign nations, whereas I wish to see all such aid suspended.

I scored 50% George Allen, 46% John Warner, 44% Eric Cantor.

I also tested for a solidly Democratic area: my home state of Maryland. There it was 36% Mikulski, 50% Sarbanes and 50% Steny Hoyer (Minority-Whip D).

I was recently a solid Republican before deciding to go Libertarian, so the findings really suprised me.

So - Protag, where were your principal differences with your representatives?

Not that I would move my family in order to be better represented by politicians... gasp! But, like Protagonist, I wanted to see how I'd line up in other areas of the nation. I chose the Seattle area, as that's where my wife is from and I do like the environs. Looks that I'm far better served by my current representation in congress, if these figures are any clue:

Senator: Maria Cantwell
Result: You voted in agreement with Maria Cantwell on the bills that you selected, 64% of the time out of 22 bills.

Senator: Patty Murray
Result: You voted in agreement with Patty Murray on the bills that you selected, 57% of the time out of 21 bills.

Congressman: Norman D. Dicks
Result: You voted in agreement with Norman D. Dicks on the bills that you selected, 56 % of the time out of 23 bills.

And somehow - if I were perhaps drugged and beaten - and taken by force to Massachusettes...

Senator: Edward Kennedy
Result: You voted in agreement with Edward Kennedy on the bills that you selected, 64% of the time out of 22 bills.

Senator: John Kerry
Result: You voted in agreement with John Kerry on the bills that you selected, 56% of the time out of 18 bills.

Congressman: Barney Franks
Result: You voted in agreement with Barney Franks on the bills that you selected, 39 % of the time out of 23 bills.

Kinda shocking re: Kennedy. He's not far behind Warner (Va) re: my votes. He likely concurred with my few anti-republican pet project votes.
